Privacy Statement

Last updated: December 17, 2025

This Privacy Statement explains, in plain language, how information is handled when you visit https://complexbuild.sparkle.pro.br or contact the Complex Build team.

1) Scope

This statement covers our website pages (including Contact and “Suggest a New Ligand”) and messages you send us by email. It does not cover third‑party services you may use through links on our site (for example, external download platforms), which have their own privacy policies.

2) Software download and use

Downloading and installing Complex Build does not require registration, a license key, or an account. The software does not require you to provide personal data in order to run.

3) Website analytics (Statcounter)

We use Statcounter, a web analytics service, to understand how our website is used and to improve reliability and content (for example, which pages are visited, approximate geographic distribution of visitors, and the types of browsers/operating systems used).

Statcounter may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referring links, and timestamps. Statcounter may also place an analytics cookie in your browser to distinguish between first‑time and returning visitors.

We do not use Statcounter for targeted advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

Choices: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Statcounter also provides a cookie opt‑out (refusal cookie) that can disable Statcounter analytics cookies across sites that use Statcounter: https://statcounter.com/about/set-refusal-cookie/ . Statcounter’s cookie information page is available at: https://statcounter.com/about/cookies/ .

4) Information you provide when you contact us

If you contact us via the Contact page or email, we may receive:

  • Your name (if you choose to provide it);
  • Your email address and any other contact details you include;
  • The contents of your message and any attachments you choose to send (e.g., logs, screenshots, input files);
  • Technical details you include to help troubleshoot (e.g., Windows version, error messages).

Purpose: to respond to your request, provide support, investigate issues, and improve the software and documentation.

5) “Suggest a new ligand” submissions

If you submit scientific/technical information through the “Suggest a new ligand” page, we use it to evaluate your suggestion and, where appropriate, improve Complex Build. If you include personal data in your submission, we use it only to follow up with you.

6) Legal bases and your rights

Where applicable, we process personal data based on (i) your consent (when you voluntarily contact us or submit materials) and/or (ii) our legitimate interests (operating, securing, and improving the website, including analytics). Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., Brazil’s LGPD, the EU/UK GDPR, or similar laws), you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your personal data.

7) Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described above. Support messages may be retained to maintain a technical history. Website analytics and server logs are retained for a limited period consistent with security and operations.

8) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
